How long do eye exams take?

How long do eye exams take?

Less than an hour in most cases!

Dr. David Bond & Associates Optometrists of Barrie, Ontario explains how long eye exams take

Your first examination may take up to an hour or more due to the original paper work, transfers, agreements, etc. we will need to go over and sign. Your medical history will also need to be examined and any potential allergic reactions to our treatments must be pointed out to us.

After the first visit average examinations will take anywhere from 30-45 minutes. Children's eye examinations are typically faster- they are growing, the main concern is ensuring their eyes are shaped appropriately and their vision is clear. Adult examinations take near 45 minutes to ensure there are no developing problems, discuss future visits, and double-check any past issues to ensure they have not returned.

When you leave our office you will have confidence in your eyes' health and will be more than happy to go about your day-to-day life comfortably.

Dr. David Bond is a licensed optometrist. He and the staff are more than happy to answer any questions you have, complete examinations, and make you and your child as comfortable as possible.
